You're frightened of magic. I am too.

I've killed my fair share of witches. I ain't afraid of magic. There just ain't no good ever come of it.

Magic can be destructive, you are right. But it can be used to do good. The sort of spells and talisman I use are meant to heal and protect.

[onlyhearmusic]

[There was a slight pause this time. He'd heard of charms and spells of protection existing. But ultimately they never seemed to work.]

Everything comes with a price. I ain't willin' ta pay it.

You owe me nothing. [Zichen smiles a little this time.] My repayment comes from the Admiral.

I ain't talkin' about payin' you, lad.

[Collins merely blinked, unimpressed.]

Your other choice bothers me. [Thus the daftness.] I don't want to leave you with a potential infection.

I ain't got an infection. Ain't even got anymore holes in me ta be infected.

[He huffed in annoyance.]

Tell ya what. First sign of trouble, I'll head ta tha infirmary. I give ya me word. Will that get ya tha fuck out of me room?

[zichen]

[He is on the point of arguing further, but that last part shuts him up.]

Thank you. [He nods at the food and heads to the door.] Eat, rest. No one will bother you.

[onlyhearmusic]

[He glared at Zichen's retreating form.]

Ya broke me fuckin' door. It's already bothersome in here.

[zichen]

I will make sure it is fixed. [...he pulls out a talisman from his robes and uses some of the dreaded magic to see the door put back together. Then he adds a second talisman for protection.]

[onlyhearmusic]

Jesus fuckin' Christ, what did I just fuckin' tell ya!

[Whelp. Expect him to stay in his room for all of two minutes before he heads out of it, food and especially that suspicious looking drink completely untouched, and does not proceed to come back anytime soon.]

[zichen]

... [Zichen rolls his eyes at the dramatic exit. He has his hands full again, doesn't he. Isn't he glad he didn't tell Dennis about his current...almost not living...state.

The talisman remains; he spoke to Ulla and he wants to keep Dennis from being attacked again.

But there is only so much he can do. So he keeps his communicator on him just in case.]

[That would have been an even worse topic to discuss.

If there is any physical way to remove it, he will later. (Like, after the Breach later since he's not going back to his room any time soon.) If there isn't, he'll avoid using the room altogether for the foreseeable future.

He is, indeed, a handful. Very good at throwing hissy fits. Sorry, Zichen. Have fun watching over this one.]

[He will remove it once he sees someone isn't returning to their room. Then he just...keeps watch. The hard way.]
